One Click College Admit

One Click College Admit is an initiative by the State of Illinois and is the state’s free, quick, and stress-free direct admissions program into state public universities and community colleges.

  • What is the cost associated with the program?

    This is a free program.

  • What steps must I take to participate in the program?

Starting in August 2025, you/your parent must complete an online opt-in form, allowing your GPA to be shared with the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) to match your GPA with admission requirements at universities.

If you opt in to participate in the program, you will receive admission offers during the fall of your senior year (Fall 2026) to the partner public universities and community college for which you are eligible for One Click College Admit admission for enrollment in Fall 2027.

  • Why must I submit an Opt-in Form to participate in the One Click College Admit program?

When you opt in to participate in the program, you provide consent for your GPA to be shared with the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC). ISAC will match your GPA with the GPA admission requirements at partner public universities.

  • What information included in the Opt-in Form will be shared and with what entities?

Your GPA and the contact information provided in the Opt-in Form will be shared with the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC), the Illinois Board of Higher Education (IBHE), the Illinois Community College Board (ICCB), the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE), and the Illinois public universities and community college for which you qualify for direct admission. Only the necessary information needed to send you direct admission notifications will be shared with the Common App. Your high school may also receive a notice of the schools to which you have been directly admitted.

  • What is the next step after I submit my Opt-in Form?

Create a Common App account here. There is no rush to do this, but you will want to create your Common App account before your senior year so that you can review and accept your admission offers!

Wait to receive admission offers during the fall of your senior year, Fall 2026, via email at the email address provided and via alerts in their Common App account. You will receive this email even if you have yet to create a Common App account.

In order to act on the direct admission offer(s), you must create a Common App account. Accept via the Common App the offer(s) from the institution(s) you’re interested in attending
