One Click College Admit


  • One Click College Admit is a free program. It removes the cost of application fees to participating Illinois public institutions. It is not a financial aid program or free tuition program.

  • If you opted in as a junior:
    Step 1: Log into Common App
    Step 2: See and act on your direct admission offers starting in September of your Senior year.

    If you haven’t opted into One Click College Admit yet, you still have time.
    Step 1: Create your Common App account and profile here.
    Step 2: Enter required information like GPA and permanent address in Illinois
    Step 3: Wait to receive admission offers (This may take up to a week. When you choose to accept a direct admission offer, your GPA will need to be verified.)

  • Yes, students in foster care are eligible to participate in the program.

  • You will receive an email at the email address provided. You will also see offers in the Direct Admissions section in your Common App account.

  • No. You may accept offers from any university/community college you are interested in attending. Accepting an offer does not mean you have enrolled or must enroll at the institution.

    All community colleges are also participating in the program.

    *Direct admission offers to the University of Illinois Springfield are only for students who opted in during their junior year where a verified GPA was used to make the direct admission offer.

    ** If you opted in to One Click College Admit during your junior year and you meet certain criteria, you will be encouraged to apply to the University of Illinois Chicago and/or the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. If you did NOT opt in to One Click College Admit during your junior year and are interested in attending the University of Illinois Chicago or the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, apply directly to those institutions via the Common App.

  • You will be offered general admission to universities/community colleges through One Click College Admit, not admission to specialized programs. You will need to apply separately to specialized programs by working with the college and/or university admission counselors.

  • Indicate your interest by adding the institution to the "My Colleges" section in Common App. After you have decided at which institution you wish to enroll, complete the information for enrollment to the college/university through Common App by the acceptance deadline.

  • Colleges may include information about any guaranteed financial aid that is included with your direct admission offer in the Direct Admission section of your common app account. Detailed information and financial aid award letters will be sent in January/February by individual institutions
